About Me

Hi! My name is Kaori Sakurai. I'm from Tokyo, Japan. Art has always been a part of my life. Ever since I was a child, I loved drawing - I could spend hours completely absorbed in every single day. That creative passion naturally evolved into an interest in makeup. I used to work a renowned French luxury cosmetics brand and began working as a makeup specialist. I traveled all across Japan, meeting and working with countless clients , helping them feel beautiful and confident through the power of makeup.

After moving to Los Angeles, I discovered the world of permanent makeup - specifically, microblading. The artistry, precision, and ability to enhance someone's natural features in such a lasting way immediately captivated me.  Since then, I've been fully committed to mastering this craft. I've trained under incredible artists, explored different style and techniques, and continue to grow every day.

Bringing out each client's unique beauty through carefully crafted brows has become my new artistic journey - and  one I'm truly passionate about.

  • What is semi-permanent eyebrow makeup?
Semi-permanent eyebrow makeup is a cosmetic tattooing technique that enhances your natural brows by adding pigment to the skin. It includes methods like Microblading, Nano brows, Powder Brows, and Combo Brows. The results typically last 1-3 years, depending on your skin type and lifestyle.
  • Which brow technique is right for me?
It depends on your skin type, brow goals, and desired look, For example: Nano/Feather Brows or Microblading for fine, natural hair strokes Powder Brows for a soft, makeup-like finish Combo Brows foe a fuller, defined look with both strokes and shading We will help you decide during your consultation.
  • What is Microblading and how does it differ from traditional eyebrow tattooing?
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that uses a manual handheld tool to create hair-like strokes on the eyebrows, mimicking natural hair growth. It differs from traditional eyebrow tattooing as it provides a more natural and realistic look with finer strokes and less fading over time.
  • What is Feather Nano Brow and how does it enhance the eyebrows?
Feather Nano Brow is a technique that uses ultra-fine needles to create hair-like strokes on the eyebrows, resulting in a natural and fuller appearance. It enhances the eyebrows by filling in sparse areas, defining the shape, and providing a long-lasting effect.
  • What is Powder Ombré Brow and how does it differ from microblading?
Powder Ombré Brow is a shading technique that creates a soft, powdered look on the eyebrows, similar to the effect of makeup. It differs from microblading as it involves a gentler process without creating individual hair strokes, resulting in a more filled-in and defined appearance.
  • What is Combo brow?
Combo brow, also known as a combination brow , is a technique that combines hair strokes and shading to create fuller and more defined eyebrows. It involves creating hair-like strokes in the front of the brow and adding shading towards the tail, resulting in a natural yet enhanced look.
  • What is the process of pre-permanent makeup consultation?
Pre-permanent makeup consultation involves discussing the client's desired look, assessing skin tone and type, determining the best eyebrow shape, and explaining the procedure and aftercare instructions.
  • Does it hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream is applied before or during the procedure to keep you comfortable throughout the session. Most of my clients fall asleep during the treatment.
  • Is it safe?
Yes. We use sterile, single-use tools and high-quality pigments. All procedures are performed following strict hygiene standards.
  • How long does it last?
Results typically last 1 to3 years. Fading depends on factors like skin type (oily skin may fade faster), sun exposure, and skincare routine.
  • What is the healing process like?
You may experience slight redness, flaking, and fading during the healing process (usually 7-14 days). Full healing and pigment setting take about 4-6 weeks.(For mature skin, the healing process may take slightly more time than usual)
  • Do I need a touch-up after semi-permanent makeup?
Yes, A touch-up session is recommended 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure to fill in any areas where the pigment may not have taken well and to ensure the shape and color are perfect. It helps to enhance the longevity and overall appearance of the tattoo eyebrows. While many other salons charge separately for touch-up sessions, our pricing includes it - because we believe a touch-up is essential for achieving the perfect brows. To ensure the best and most long-lasting results, we require all clients to return for a touch-up. It's a crucial step in perfecting your final look.
  • Can I get brow tattooing if I have previous work done?
In many cases, Yes - but we will need to assess your existing pigment and shape during a consultation to determine if a correction or cover-up is possible.
  • What should I avoid before my appointment?
24-48 hours before your appointment, it is recommended to avoid alcohol, caffeine, blood-thinning medications, and intense sun exposure. It is also advised not to wax or tint your eyebrows at least one week before the procedure to ensure the best results.
  • What should I avoid after my procedure?
After your procedure, it is important to avoid getting the treated area wet for the first 7-10 days, as well as avoiding sun exposure, sweating, and applying makeup on the eyebrows. It is also crucial not to pick or scratch the scabs that may form during the healing process. We will give you detailed aftercare instructions to follow.
